Conference Setup
The proper setup of a conference is important to make any meeting successful. As the seating arrangement should be done in such as way that every delegate should be able to see the presenter as well as, the video projector should be visible from his place. Hence depending on the size of room, number of delegates and type of conference, the setup could be done in the following ways.
Auditorium Style: - The chairs are set in equal number of rows and columns facing the presenter with aisles to ensure easy passage over there.
Schoolroom Style: - Chairs with tables are set up to offer writing space to delegates.
Banquet Style: - A group of round tables are set for 6-8 persons on each table. This provides space for taking lunch or dinner on the table.
Cocktail Style: - Higher tables are set up for taking drinks or cocktails.
U- shape tables: - Chairs are placed in the shape of U, facing the front.
Boardroom Style: - A large table with so many chairs. This style is used for a group discussion.
Cabaret Style: - This style is similar to the Banquet style with only one difference. Half chairs are surrounded to round tables so that presenter is visible to delegates easily.
Hollow Square: - Tables and Chairs are placed in the rectangular or square form, keeping the central space empty.
